PURPOSE: To substantially reduce the effect of oxygen without providing an oxygen shielding layer as another layer and to obtain high printing durability in a planographic plate by incorporating a specified compd. into a photosensitive composition.

CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive composition contains a specified compd. dissolved in a photosensitive liq., float on the photosensitive layer surface when applied and dried and capable of forming an oxygen shielding layer. The compd. contains a compd. shown by R1CON(R2)(R3) and a compd. shown by R4COOH, R4CH2OH or R4CONH2. In the formulas, R1 and R4 are 15-25C alkyls, R2 is H, CH3, C2H5 or C3H7, and R3 is CH3, C2H5 or C3H7. The composition is applied on a substrate and dried, and a mat layer consisting of a fine pattern, in which the part coated with a composition contg. a copolymer contg. at least one kind of monomer unit having a sulfonic group and the uncoated part coexist, is formed on the surface of the photosensitive planographic printing plate.
