Title:
PHOTOSENSITIVE PHOTOGRAPHIC ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60213937
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain good photosensitivity by incorporating a layer contg. a specified compd. in a photographic element composed of a support, a silver halide emulsion layer, and other layers.

CONSTITUTION: The layer incorporated in the photographic element composed of the support, the silver halide emulsion layer, and other layers contains a compd. by formula I or II in which G is a nonmetallic atomic group necessary for completing a chromophoric group; Z, Z' are each methine or N; and R is H, alkyl, aryl, heterocyclic, amino, acylamino, sulfonamide, alkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl, aminocarbonyl, hydroxy, or carboxy, and each of said alkyl, aryl, heterocyclic, sulfonamido, and aminocarbonyl groups may be optionally substituted. Such compds. are preferable as the sensitizer or sensitizing dye of a silver halide emulsion, and the partial structures of azapentalene of imidazo[1,2-b]pyrazole and pyrazolo[1,5-b]-1,2,4-triazole are especially preferable. The use of such a compd. permits good photosensitivity to be obtained.
