To provide a photosensitive planographic printing plate material suitable for exposure to laser light at a light emission wavelength in the range from 350 nm to 450 nm and having preferable safelight property as well as excellent printing durability and dot reproducibility.
The photosensitive planographic printing plate material has a photosensitive layer containing (A) a photopolymerizable initiator, (B) a polymerizable ethylenic double bond-containing compound, (C) a dye having an absorption maximum wavelength of 350 to 450 nm, and (D) a polymer binder, on a support. The photosensitive layer contains, as the dye (C) having the absorption maximum wavelength of 350 nm to 450 nm, a compound that emits light at a longer wavelength than the absorption maximum wavelength for a life time of 1 ns or more, and further contains (E) such a compound that increases the absorption (abs) of the photosensitive layer at the light emission wavelength of the above emission light by 0.1 or more when the compound is contained by 5 mass% into the photosensitive layer.
