To provide a photocuring sealant composition which can be used without necessitating a thermosetting process, has excellent heat resistance, adhesion with a substrate and moisture resistance and has such high viscosity that can be applied to an ODF process and to provide a liquid crystal panel using the same.
The photocuring sealant composition for the liquid crystal panel contains a resin obtained by reacting an imino group of a polyfunctional acrylate having the imino group and an acryloyl group in one molecule with a maleic anhydride unit of a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer, epoxy(meth)acrylate and a photopolymerization initiator. The manufacturing method of the liquid crystal panel comprises a step for forming a sealant forming a cell and using the photocuring sealant composition for the liquid crystal panel in a pattern shape on the surface of one substrate of a pair of substrates opposed to each other, a step for forming a liquid crystal layer on the surface of the one substrate, a step for laminating the pair of substrates to each other at prescribed intervals and a curing step for curing the seal pattern.
