The photothermographic color element includes at least three photosensitive units having their own sensitivities in different wavelength ranges, the photosensitive units include silver halide image forming layers and each of the silver halide image forming layers has a mixture of at least two protected developing agents including protected developing agents A and B represented by the formula DEV-(LINK-1)l-(TIME)m-(LINK 2)n-B in relation to the silver halide image forming layer. The initiation temperature of the developing agent B is lower than that of the developing agent A, the initiation temperature of the developing agent B is in the range of 110-160°C, that of the developing agent A is in the range of 130-170°C and the difference between the initiation temperatures of these two developing agents is 5-50°C.
