Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance contrast and to lower fog coloration after light fixation, by adding an aromatic yellow coupling component having an acetoacetylated amino group and an alkyl or carboxyl group.

CONSTITUTION: A photothermosensitive recording layer 1 is formed by providing a recording layer 3 on the surface of a support. The recording layer 3 comprises an aromatic yellow coupling component having a diazosulfonate, acetoacetylated amino group, an alkoxy or halogen group, and other groups, and a binder. For the aromatic yellow coupling component, for example, 3,3'-dimethyl-4,4'- diacetoacetophenyl-bis( acetoaceto )alkylphenylenediamidoacetoacetoaminophthalic acid, acetoacetoaminobenzoic acid, acetoacetoaminosalicylic acid, etc. are used.
