To provide a photovoltaic generation system which exhibits decorativeness or a displaying property even in the daytime by utilizing the electric power generated by solar cell panels and from which faults can be detected easily.
A photovoltaic generator is provided with a group of solar cell modules constituted by arranging a plurality of solar cell modules provided with luminous bodies. The photovoltaic generation system is constituted to detect the faults of the solar cell modules, by wiring power lines for solar cell modules which transmit the electric power generated by individual solar cell module to the modules so that the modules may be connected in series, and connecting the positive pole sides of applying power lines for luminous bodies which are drawn out from a DC power supply and supply driving power to the luminous bodies to the anode sides of the luminous bodies and the positive pole sides of the power lines for solar cell modules to the cathode sides of the luminous bodies.
