NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [A represents lower alkylene optionally having a substituent OH or ONO2; R1 represents H, lower alkoxyl optionally having the above-mentioned substituent, formula II (R3 represents H or lower alkyl; R4 represents lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, etc. or cyclic amino group formed by NR3R4 optionally interrupted by such as O and further optionally having a substituent such as lower alkyl; B represents lower alkylene; Y represents single bond or CO), OH, lower alkanoylamino or halogen atom; R2 represents H or NO2] or its acid addition salt.
EXAMPLE: N-(2-Nitroxyethyl)-4-(2-morpholinoethoxy)phthalimide.
USE: Remedies for ischemic heart diseases especially useful as a remedy for stenocardia.
PREPARATION: A compound expressed by formula III (A' and R1' respectively represent groups defined in A or R1 without having any substituent ONO2, and further R1' represents lower alkoxyl optionally having epoxy group) is esterified with nitric acid to obtain the compound expressed by formula I.
