Abstract:
To provide a phthalocyanine compound for a solar cell.
An electrolyte for the solar cell contains a phthalocyanine (Pc) compound represented by formula X-MPc-(R)n or X-MPc-(OR')n, and the solar cell uses the electrolyte. The energy conversion efficiency of the solar cell is improved by using the phthalocyanine in the solar cell. A phthalocyanine derivative containing an alkoxy chain group shows sufficient solubility, and coating can be conducted by spin coating without using a costly vacuum deposition method.
