Abstract:

To provide a sensor signal output device from which a receiving side device can receive a correct sensor signal, by outputting a sensor signal when a sensor is steadily operated, outputting no sensor signal when the sensor is broken down or unsteadily operated, and outputting an operational condition of the sensor.

A sensor signal output device comprises: a sensor detecting a physical quantity; a diagnosis unit diagnosing a working condition of the sensor; and a communication unit transmitting a detection result of the sensor and a diagnosis result of the diagnosis unit. The communication unit selects a detection result of the sensor when the sensor is determined to be working normally, and, when the sensor is determined not to be working normally, selects and outputs a signal indicating an operational condition of the sensor.
