To realize a structure capable of calculating physical quantities expressing the traveling state of a vehicle with less number of sensors by using MEMS acceleration sensors 13, 13.
This physical quantity measuring device uses the MEMS acceleration sensors 13, 13 capable of detecting accelerations in two axes. The MEMS acceleration sensors 13, 13 are installed on the wheels 16, 16 forming the vehicle 15. The directions of the axes of the MEMS acceleration sensors 13, 13 are aligned with the longitudinal and lateral directions of the vehicle 15, respectively. Consequently, a calculator 14 can calculate the physical quantities such as the longitudinal acceleration and lateral acceleration of the vehicle which indicate the traveling state of the vehicle, the speed of the vehicle, and the centrifugal force of the vehicle during the turning by using DC components of the output signals from the MEMS acceleration sensors 13, 13.
