Abstract:

PURPOSE: To automate pick finding work to detect and properly arrange the yarn ends by removing a part having a problem in quality from an inside surface of glass fiber cake.
CONSTITUTION: An air nozzle 2 is inserted in the center of cake 4, and is inclined by about 30 degrees, and a rod 1 is extended through the air nozzle 2, and is contacted with an inside surface of the cake 4. After yarn bundles are taken in by a prescribed quantity by a hooking claw 5 on the tip of the rod 1, the rod l is contracted, and is pulled outside together with pick finding flocks being taken in. In a condition where a lump of the flocks pass through the inside of the air nozzle 2 and the yarn bundles of glass fiber are pulled out to the rod l side from the air nozzle 2, the air nozzle 2 is horizontally returned, and compressed air is supplied while properly changing pressure, the yarn bundles are pulled out in order. The yarn bundles whose revolution is fast and resistance is small are first blown off at the same flow speed, and the yarn bundles whose resistance is large and which delay in revolution delay, and plural yarn bundles are pulled out all together on the same revolution with the lapse of time.
