This picking instruction device is constructed to detect a conveying position of a container (c) conveyed by a conveyance device 12 by a container detection means, and to detect the corresponding container (c) in which an article (b) to be picked up is stored based on picking information. In this picking device, an arrow head indication 28 pointing the corresponding container (c) is indicated by an indication means 26 provided above the conveyance device 12 based on a position of the corresponding container (c) and picking information, and a direction pointed by the arrow head indication 28 is indicated with following movement of the corresponding container (c) by the conveyance device 12. Consequently, a worker can confirm that what is necessary is only to store the picked up article (b) to the corresponding container (c) in a direction pointed by the arrow head indication 28 by looking at the indication means 26 at a fixed position.
