To provide a lamp tracking type picking method and picking system for performing efficient personnel allocation by changing picking zone structure according to variation of the number of articles for picking and for easily recognizing the boundary between picking zones without requiring replacement work of the articles.
In the lamp tracking type picking method for arranging a belt conveyor 4 and an indication lamp row 6 so as to cross the plurality of picking zones, turning on a prescribed guide lamp 7 of the indication lamp row 6 in a prescribed picking zone while being synchronized with an article collection box 3 moving on the belt conveyor 4 and putting a prescribed article into the article collection box 3 based on the turn-on of the guide lamp 7, an indication color of the guide lamp 7 is variable and controlled so as to be set according to the length of the picking zones.
