To provide a new pickled plum exhibiting effects for preventing and improving geriatric diseases such as arteriosclerosis, hypertension, cerebral hemorrhage and shoulder discomfort, and to provide a method for producing the same.

In a process for producing pickled plums, for example, plums are pickled together with ginkgo leaves to impregnate the plums with the extract of the ginkgo leaves as a process for adding the ginkgo leaves or their treated product to the plums. Thereby, flavonoids, such as rutin, contained in the extract of the ginkgo leaves are added to the pickled plums. The extract of the ginkgo leaves have medicinal effects, especially for vascular disorders because of having a blood vessel-reinforcing action.
