Title:
PICTURE DATA WRITING METHOD FOR FRAME MEMORY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2805182
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make hardware low in cost and small-in size by a system where picture data inputted in the page change time is temporarily written in another idle area and is restored thereafter.
CONSTITUTION: When picture data D is written in a frame memory 2 by the command from a CPU 25, the write to the memory 2 is stopped in the precharge time (Tc) of a row address strobe (RAS) at the time of the page change on the way of write. It is stopped by the change of RAG and a column address strobe, and picture data inputted in this time Tc is temporarily written in an idle area of a line buffer 2. After the end of write to all fields of the memory 2, picture data temporarily written in the line buffer 3 is transferred to the proper address of the memory 2. Since the loss of picture data in the time Tc is prevented by this system, it is unnecessary to use two dynamic RAMs, and hardware is made low-cost and small-sized.
