PURPOSE: To individually provide different sound information to respective viewers viewing a common video by providing a sound supply switching means selecting the pertinent sound information corresponding to a gazing point and supplying it to the speaker of the pertinent viewer.

CONSTITUTION: Video is supplied to respective display parts 101 to 104 by a picture supply part 105. What display part each viewer gazes, is measured by line-of-sight detection parts 106 and 107 provided for every viewer, and the sound signal corresponding to the gazing point is supplied to respective speakers 109 to 110 from a sound supply switching part 108 corresponding to output from the detection parts. Since the line of sight of each viewer is detected and the sound information is supplied to each viewer corresponding to the gazing point, the information about each matter of concern is individually supplied to each viewer in this display device even when many viewers coexist.
