PURPOSE: To keep the quality or a picture regardless or the increase in the number of persons in a virtual space by detecting only persons which are in the visual field of a user or can be seen by the user in a virtual space and updating the picture of the other self of the user.

CONSTITUTION: A user's own terminal 11, another terminal 12, and a picture information distribution server 13 are provided, and position information 14 from the terminal 11 as three-dimensional information of the position of the user in the virtual space and three-dimensional vector information of the direction of the user, position information 15 from the terminal 12 of the other party, picture information 16 of plural other parties required for display from the picture information distribution server 13 to the terminal 11, and picture information 17 of plural other parties required for display from the picture information distribution server 13 to the terminal 12 exist. In the picture processing method where the picture of user's face is stuck to the other self of the user and is updated with time to realize the face picture display, it is discriminated whether the other party is put in the visual field of the user or not, and the picture of the face is updated when it is put there, but the picture of the face is not updated when it is not put there.
