PURPOSE: To speed up the fetching of picture information in a small-scaled circuit and to shorten compensation processing time by conducting a compensation processing corresponding to the mutual intervals of respective line sensors and scanning speed for securing the timewise compatibility of mutual color picture data.

CONSTITUTION: G-line data are stored in a G-buffer memory 112, and data read from the memory 112 is inputted to registers 113 and 114. The outputs are multiplied by weighing coefficients in multiplication circuits 115 and 116, and they are added by an addition circuit 117. Then, the output of a register 118 becomes G'data. B-line data are stored in a B-buffer memory 112, and it becomes B'data through registers 123 and 124. R-line data are delayed by 1H in a 1H delay part 131, and it is multiplied by the weighing coefficient in a multiplication circuit 132. R-line data are multiplied by the weighing coefficient in a multiplication circuit 133, and it is added with output from the circuit 132 in an addition circuit 134. It is outputted as R'data through a register 135 and the timing of data G' and B' is matched with that of data R'.
