Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain the color correction in which a color difference from an original color is small by converting an inputted digital picture into a uniform spatial coordinate value group, splitting value of the coordinate value group at least with respect to one coordinate into plural sections and applying color correction to each split section. CONSTITUTION:A digital picture RGB is inputted to a uniform color spatial coordinate converter 2, in which the picture is converted into a CIE color representing system data and a value L* representing the lightness as one axis of the spatial coordinate is calculated. The calculated L* is inputted to a coordinate split extraction device 3 and split into, e.g., 3 sections. Then a color correction device 4 being a means applying color correction for each split section calculates the value being the result of corrected RGB with a correction coefficient different from each section. Thus, a different proper correction element from a digital picture for each section is used to apply color correction with small color difference from the original color.
