PURPOSE: To enable the print of continuous ruled lines, by controlling the timing of readout from the letters and the ruled line memory and performing printing through the production of letters and ruled lines corresponding to the code read out.

CONSTITUTION: The letter code memory 21 and the ruled line memory 22 memorize the code and size respectively as to the letters and the ruled lines, and sequential code is read out by controlling 41, 42 the timing of readout of the memories 21 and 22 respectively, and the letter pattern and the ruled line pattern are respectively produced 31, 32 with the pattern producing means corresponding to the code read out. After that, the both production signals are synthesized 800, the resultant is fed to the print set 700 and display is made. Thus, the print or display for continuous ruled lines can be obtained.
