CONSTITUTION: This picture reader is configurated such that plural 2-dimension image sensors 11 each having a sensor section area arranged with plural sensor sections including a photodetector 2 in a 2-dimension matrix like and a drive IC reading a charge generated in each photodetector are continuously arranged in the main scanning direction by using a gate line G1 as a common line, and the driving method is so devised that driving ICs of each image sensor 11 arranged continuously are driven in the same timing.
