Abstract:
PURPOSE:To read an original picture in synchronism with any of picture processing units having different print speeds by providing a means applying drive control of a motor moving a read optical system or an original in synchronism with a subscanning synchronizing signal. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 10 prior to the read of an original picture sets the period of a printer synchronizing signal sent from a printer 20 and a timing signal generating circuit 4 generates a line synchronizing signal in a reader from the printer synchronizing signal. The CPU 10 standardizes an output signal of an A/D converter 3 by varying the setting value to a reference voltage generating circuit 13 in order to normalize the read density. Then the CCD 1 and the motor 12 are driven in synchronism with the printer synchronizing signal inputted from a picture recorder to vary a reference voltage for the A/D converter 3 and a gamma conversion data. Thus, the original picture is read and the picture data is sent completely in synchronism with any of plural picture recorders with different print speeds.
