Abstract:
A drive device having improved impact resistance and enabling a reduction in the size and thickness of a device where the drive device is mounted. The drive device has a piezoelectric element, a weight fixed to one end in the direction of extension and contraction of the piezoelectric element, and a drive member fixed to the other end of the piezoelectric element. The piezoelectric element and the weight are in contact with each other with a spatial overlap in the direction of extension and contraction of the piezoelectric element, and the center of gravity of the weight is located near a plane including the surface where the piezoelectric element and the weight are in contact with each other.
