CONSTITUTION: This piezoelectric electrostrictive material has a compsn. represented by a general formula [Pb1-x-0.5aBaxNba{(Zr1-bSnb)1-yTiy}1-aO3]1-k[Pb(M1/3R2/3)O3]k (where M is Co or Ni, R is Ta or Nb, 0.01≤a≤0.03, 0.2≤b≤0.6, 0.01≤x, 0.04≤(2/3)x+y≤0.075 and 0.01≤k≤0.05).
