Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric element having a single layer structure, from the standpoint of easiness of manufacturing process, and excellent in heat resistance so that the piezoelectric performance can be maintained even if heated to high temperature, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element 1 composed of a sheet-like porous base material 2 having heat resistance, has surface layers 2a, 2b of the material composing the porous base material 2 on the surface of the porous base material 2, and has a charged hole 4 confined in the porous base material 2. Preferably, the porous base material is a nonwoven cloth or a uniaxially-stretched film or a biaxially oriented film.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
