Abstract:

PURPOSE: A piezoelectric material that is obtained by converting a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoroacetone into an electret, thus showing high piezoelectric efficiency and being suitable in an piezoelectric element.

CONSTITUTION: A film or sheet of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoroacetone copolymer is drawn at a more than 200% draw ratio. The resultant film is, when necessary, fixed to a jig and converted into an electret, preferably by corona discharge to produce the objective piezoelectric material.
