Abstract:

PURPOSE: To maintain initial quality and to allow the repetitive use of the above sensor by welding a piezoelectric oscillator and a sample cell by ultrasonic deep oscillation energy from the outside to fix and support the piezoelectric oscillator, thereby uniformly and surely joining the resonator.

CONSTITUTION: A crystal resonator 1 is disposed near the base of the sample cell 2 in such a manner that only the one surface comes into contact with liquid and electrodes are terminated to lead terminals 3 led to the outside. The resonator 1 and the cell 2 are ultrasonically welded by using an ultrasonic welding machine. The resonator 1 is crimped to the cell 2 by a lower frame 4 in order to attain the securer joining. In addition, the respective inner and outer peripheries of the lower frame 4 and the cell 2 are simultaneously coupled by ultrasonic welding. The surface to be welded in contact with the resonator 1 forms a slight projecting part 5 over the entire surface so that the ultrasonic oscillation energy concentrates to the projecting part 5. Only the projecting part 5 is melted without melting the other part. The resonator 1 is thus tightly adhered and joined.
