To lower a CI value of a fundamental wave by preventing oscillation of harmonics.
A vibration arm 14 includes first and second side faces 21, 22 connected to both sides of the front and back surfaces 16. A groove 30 extending in the longitudinal direction of the vibration arm 14 is formed on each of the front and back surfaces 16. The groove 30 includes first and second inner surfaces 31, 32 extending back-to-back with the first and second side faces 21, 22, respectively. A pair of the vibration arms 14 perform bending vibration so that the mutual first and second side faces 21, 22 come close to and separate from each other, have each the most-largely-bending first flexural part 18 at a connection part 24 with a base part 12, and have each a largely-bending second flexural part 20 next to the connection part 24 at a part with a middle part in the longitudinal direction of the groove 30 formed. The distance between the first side face 21 and the first inner surface 31 (or between the second side face 22 and the second inner surface 32) is the largest in the second flexural part 20.
