Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic which can obtain large Qmax and is excellent from a view point of pollution reduction, environmental protection and ecological protection. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic incorporates a ceramic composition containing a pyrochlore type oxide and a perovskite type oxide. As the pyrochlore type oxide, (Ba0.52 Sr0.28 Ca0.2 )2 Nb2 O7 or the like can be cited and as the perovskite type oxide, NaNbO3 or the like can be cited. Composition ratio of the pyrochlore type oxide to the perovskite type oxide is preferably within a range of 0.005<=x<=0.04 by mole ratio when expressed by xA+(1-x)B (wherein A is pyrochlore type oxide and B is perovskite type oxide). Thereby Qmax can be improved and stable oscillation can be obtained.
