PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a pigment dispersant which can highly and slightly dispersing a microparticulated pigment and can prepare a pigment colorant composition excellent in long term-storage stability; a method of producing the pigment dispersant; and a pigment colorant composition using the pigment dispersant.SOLUTION: This invention relates to: the pigment dispersant prepared by including a sulfonic acid group-containing acrylic polymer obtained by reacting a hydroxyl group-containing acrylic polymer that has one or more hydroxyl groups on its side chain or terminal, with a 2-sulfobenzoic acid anhydride; the method of producing the pigment dispersant; and the pigment colorant composition using the pigment dispersant.
