Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pigment-dispersed resin composition that is useful for a variety of paintings, particularly as a painting composition for coating layers that require high durability and has bright color tones without fog.
SOLUTION: The objective resin composition comprises (A) a polyester- modified hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resin prepared by copolymerizing a hydroxyl group-bearing vinyl monomer in which a pigment is dispersed and (B) alkoxysilyl group-bearing acrylic copolymer bearing the group represented by the formula: (R1 is a 1-10C alkyl group, R2 is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent hydrocarbon group selected from the group consisting of 1-10C alkyl groups, aryl groups and aralkyl groups; a is 0, 1 or 2).
