To obtain a color filter which realizes a liquid crystal display device having good display characteristics by using precipitated barium sulfate by specified % or more for the pigment component in a pigment dispersed resin soln. compsn. for a color filter containing at least pigments and a resin.
In the pigment dispersed resin soln. compsn. for a color filter containing at least pigments and a resin, ≥10 % of the pigment component is prepared from precipitated barium sulfate. Namely, precipitated barium sulfate is used as at least a part of the pigment dispersed resin soln. compsn. for a color filter, and especially, precipitated barium sulfate having a small primary particle size is dispersed with color pixels to prepare the pigment dispersed resin soln. compsn., the obtd. pigment dispersed resin compsn. can improve the optical characteristics, light resistance, heat resistance, hardness or the like of the color filter pixels. Thereby, the color filter which realizes a liquid crystal display device having good display characteristics can be obtd.
