PURPOSE: To provide a method to form pigment images which causes no fault of carrying in an automatic developing machine nor deterioration of the white base in a print with lapse of time even continuous development is performed.

CONSTITUTION: A silver halide photographic sensitive material having blue- sensitive, green-sensitive and red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers on a photographic paper supporting body formed with polyolefin coating layers on both surface of the base paper is subjected to color development to form pigment images. The base paper of the supporting body contains at least one kind of compd. selected from among an epoxidated higher fatty acid amide, alkyl ketene dimer and higher fatty acid salt and a fluorescent whitening agent. The bleach-fixing liquid or bleaching liquid used for the color development contains a nonvolatile org. acid.
