To obtain a pile fabric having a soft handle, high fiber falling resistance and covering properties of pile face and a wooden feeling caused by difference in brightness on the surface of pile in the case of solid dyeing and excellent color development by printing besides the characteristics of solid dyeing in the case of printing.

This pile fabric comprises a constituent fiber of a pile part composed of a fiber having a 9-shaped cross-section. The fiber having the 9-shaped cross-section is constituted of 20-80 wt.% of a fiber containing ≥1.5 wt.% of a delustering agent and 80-20 wt.% of a fiber containing ≤0.7 wt.% of a delustering agent. In this case, the ratio a/b of the length/the width of the fiber having the 9-shaped cross-section is in the ratio of 0.5-3.0 and the single fiber fineness of the constituent fiber of the pile part is 1.5-6 denier.
