PURPOSE: To surely transmit shearing forces from the foundation to pile as well as raise the safety of pile head treating operation by a method in which a projected or recessed cover is closely formed on the head of a pile and a recessed or projected cover is also formed on the downside of the foundation, and both the covers are mutually contacted.
CONSTITUTION: A recessed or projected portion 6a is formed on the downside of the footing 2 of the foundation of a building and covered with a cover 6. A projected or recessed portion 5a is also formed or the head of a pile 4 to bear the foundation and covered with a cover 5. Both the covers 5 and 6 are mutually contacted to form a pin-joint between the foundation and the pile. A floating resistor 11, e.g., reinforcing bar may also be inserted into the central parts of the covers 5 and 6 are needed. The pile head treating operation can thus be safely performed, and shearing force can be surely transmitted to the pile head.
