Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a pile product having excellent handle and drape properties with an extremely small amount of yarn dropped by forming pile fabric using pile yarn containing specific shrihkable synthetic fibers.
CONSTITUTION: Pile yarn containing 3-20wt.%, preferably 5-10wt.% shrinkable synthetic fibers comprising side-by-side type conjugate fibers of polyamide, polyester, acrylic polymer, polyvinyl chloride, polyolefin, etc., having 15-55%, preferably 20-50% dry heat shrinkage percentage at 130°C and 5-20mm fiber length is formed. Pile fabric is made from the pile yarn by using high pile knitting machine, boa knitting machine, pile weaving machine, double raschel weaving machine, the back is coated with a resin emulsion such as acrylic acid ester, dried at 125°C, polished, brushed and sheared to give a pile product with a small amount of yarn dropped suitable for toy, bedding, clothing, interior product.
