To reduce the quantity of an open-cut ditch or a connecting section extremely, to connect a pipe at a small number of the connecting sections, and to prevent damage generated on coating of a pipe outer surface when carrying the pipe.
A loading part 42 of the pipe 1 buried at an end portion on one side of an open-cut ditch groove 40 is formed, and pipe carrying devices 2 are installed in the open-cut ditch 40 at constant intervals. The pipe 1 is loaded at a loading part 42 and placed on a roller 6 of a roller unit 3 provided on the pipe carrying device 2. The placed pipe 1 is pulled to move the pipe 1 by one pipe length while rotating the roller 6. The next pipe 1 is loaded the loading part 42 and placed on the roller 6 of the pipe carrying device 2. A tip end portion of the thrown pipe 1 and a rear end portion of a pipe 2 previously pulled in are welded, and after repeating to move the pipe 1 by one pipe length, the pipe carrying device 2 is removed from the open-cut ditch 40.
