Abstract:
To provide a pipe end blocking device which can maintain a part cut off of a steel pipe of city gas or the like in a surely blocked condition.
A connection part 22 to a press ring is provided in an opening end of a cylindrical main unit 20 having a sealed bottom 21, and a constricted part 23 is provided in a central part of the main unit. A pipe end part 11 of a squeezed steel pipe 10 can pass only in a prescribed direction through the constricted part 23. On condition that the cylindrical main unit is inserted into the squeezed pipe end part 11, a flexible packing 40 and a retainer 50 are fitted to a main unit opening part, to tighten a cap nut which is the press ring.
