Abstract:

PURPOSE: To secure complete corrosion prevention of a pipe end by preventing water from entering a pipe end even when an inner and outer surface resin coated metal pipe is connected by insertion method.

CONSTITUTION: A pipe end corrosion preventive 2 having a tapered surface head 20 on leading ends of inner and outer cylindrical parts 21, 22 is installed on an end of an inner and outer surface resin coated metal pipe 1. An outer peripheral surface of a pipe end corrosion preventive member 2 is connected to an inner resin coated layer of the pipe end, while an inner peripheral surface of an outer cylinder of a pipe end corrosion preventive member is connected to an outer surface resin coated layer both in a water-tight manner. The outer cylindrical part is cut, and a packing is put between a rear end face of a head part 2a of the pipe end corrosion preventive member 2 and a pipe end of the inner and outer surface resin coated metal pipe 1. A plurality of through-holes are formed on the tapered surface of the head 20. Pressing force can be applied to the packing inserted by pressure of fluid flowing through a pipe passage.
