A pipe joint (1) includes flange fixing bands (5 and 5) welded to a portion of an outer peripheral surface of respective connecting ends (4 and 4) of connecting two pipes (3 and 3), and a pair of plate-like flanges (6 and 6) extending in parallel to the pipe axis and formed on the outsides of the flange fixing bands (5 and 5) in two places opposed in the radial direction of the pipe. Fastening member inserting connecting holes (7 and 7) are opened in the respective flanges, and the flange fixing bands (5 and 5) are projected by a predetermined distance from the edges of the pipes in outside parts in the pipe axis direction.
