Abstract:
PURPOSE: To identify the types of plural plugs provided by the sorts of fluids and connect the plug to a socket without erroneous connection to communicate the mutual passages.
CONSTITUTION: The flange part 12 of a plug 2 fitted into the plug holding hole 8 of a socket 1 is provided with groove parts 21 formed by the sorts of fluids along the circumferential direction. Light emitting elements 22 and light receiving elements 23 are provided near the outer peripheral side of the plug holding hole 8, in the mutually opposed state in the orthogonal direction to the axial direction. A control part is provided to identify the type of the inserted plug 2 on the basis of detection signals from the light receiving elements 23 and to compare this with the sort of the fluid preset by a setting part. In the case of the type of the plug 2 coinciding with the sort of the set fluid, the control part slides a socket part 3 toward the plug 2 by a valve driving part and releases the closure of passages closed by a valve seat part 7 and valves 5, 14 so as to communicate the respective passages R1, R2 of the socket 1 and plug 2.
