Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate forming of a pipe rack while breaking of a mandrel is avoided in the formation of a pipe rack by using a tooth profile die and mandrels.
SOLUTION: In the pipe rack forming method, in a state that a pipe forming body 1 is held by the holder 31 of a holding die 30, the flat part 2 of the pipe forming body 1 is pressurized by the bottom forming faces 21A-23A of tooth forms 21-23 in each step of a tooth profile die 20. In this pressurizing, the tooth forms 21-23 of the die 20 are used in the order that the bottom height to be imparted to the flat part 2 is successively lowered; also, each time the tooth forms 21-23 in each step of the die 20 pressurize the flat part 2, the mandrels 51-53 of the same dimension are repeatedly moved forward and backward in pressurizing the inner circumference of the pipe forming body 1; and thus, the rack teeth 4 having the final tooth profile 3C are formed.
