Abstract:
To provide a piston packing of a piston pump, capable of being manufactured easily, and capable of preventing liquid or gas from leaking from a gap between a cylinder and a piston rod without considerably increasing a manufacturing cost, even in a case where a temperature significantly drops.SOLUTION: A rod packing comprises: a seal part disposed between a piston rod and a cylinder, and configured to seal a gap between the piston rod and the cylinder in a liquid-tight or gas-tight manner; annular rod packings (45, 46) disposed in the seal part, and whose inner peripheral part is formed along an outer peripheral part of the piston rod; and energization means of energizing the rod packing to the piston rod side to press the rod packing to the piston rod. The rod packing further comprises a slit (49) having an opening part (49a) at an inner peripheral part (47a), and extending to an outer peripheral part (47b) side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
