Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a piston ring which possesses high wear resistance and high slide characteristics, enhances durability of an engine, and reduces a running cost.
CONSTITUTION: The slide material of a piston ring is used as a burnt alloy using power 4 of Mo on which Ni plating 5 is applied. This constitution prevents diffusion of other element to Mo during burning and develops a piston ring having a slide surface further excellent in wear resistance and seizure resisting characteristics than a conventional product.
