To provide information on a hot area by adjusting the display mode of a name of geographical location which frequently appears in web pages in a map provided.
A computer executes at least a place name extraction step of extracting a place name which is stored in the computer, in advance, and appears in web pages distributed over a communications network; and a geographical location name display a mode-adjusting step of counting the appearance frequency, showing the number of times that the place name appears in the web pages for each place name thus extracted, and changing the display attribute of the geographical location name in a map provided, according to the appearance frequency to adjust the place name display mode.
