Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize an integrated hot rolling mill with a compact stand which is inexpensive, has a long service life and is of high reliability.
SOLUTION: An integrated continuous plate manufacturing system is materialized by installing two hot rolling mills, each consisting of a planetary rolling machine using axially separated non-driven planet rolls, and an intrusion rolling machine. The system is capable of performing processes from continuous casting to cold rolling, even during the change of the rolls.
