To provide a planographic printing plate which utilizes a silver complex salt diffusion transfer process, has good ink spread and inking properties and is improved in water-holding properties and ink desorption.
The planographic printing plate utilizing the silver complex salt diffusion transfer process is provided with a water-soluble polymeric layer other than gelatin which is not substantially containing a physical development nucleus layer. The coating amount of the water-soluble polymer on a silver halide emulsion layer is ≥2 to ≤50 mg per square meter. A physical development nucleus layer is further provided thereon in which the weight ratio of the water-soluble polymer contained in the physical development nucleus layer to the coating amount of the water-soluble polymer is ≤1.
