Abstract:
To save space and reduce an installation cost, compared to a configuration provided with a dedicated device that generates steam for hydrothermal treatment of biomass.SOLUTION: A plant 1 includes: a boiler 4 provided with a superheater 25 that superheats steam; a generator 7 that generates electricity using the steam generated in the boiler 4; a treatment furnace 29 that performs hydrothermal treatment to sludge; a drying furnace 31 that dries the sludge hydrothermally treated in the treatment furnace 29; a steam flow path 27 that extracts a part of the superheated steam superheated by the superheater 25, and leads it to the treatment furnace 29; an exhaust gas supply path 18 that supplies a drying heat source of the drying furnace 31 and guides at least part of a retained heat amount of the exhaust gas to the drying furnace 31, the exhaust gas being discharged from the boiler 4 to the exhaust gas flow path 12; and a first heat exchange unit 32 that exchanges heat with an amount of heat of the superheated steam flowing through the steam flow path 27. A temperature of the extracted steam is set to a temperature at which the biomass can be hydrothermally treated at an inlet of the treatment furnace 29 after heat exchange in the first heat exchange unit 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
