PURPOSE: To eliminate the movement of an operator and speedily take measures by displaying an alarm point and an alarm window corresponding to it on the screen of a display device when an alarm is generated.
CONSTITUTION: When an alarm decision is made and a read process signal (a) is an alarm area, a plant monitor means 1 outputs alarm window output information (b) to a monitor board to make the alarm point illuminate in the alarm window 2. Window information (c) on the alarm point is outputted to an alarm processing means 3 and display information (d) on the alarm point is reported to a display processing means 4. The alarm processing means 3 sets display information (e) on the alarm window and informs the display processing means 4 of it. The display processing means 4 displays the alarm point in the alarm point display area on a display device 5 based on the display information (d). Based on display information (e) on the alarm window, the name of the alarm window is displayed in the alarm window display area on the display device 5. The operator looks at the displayed information and performs necessary alarm confirming operation by using an input device such as a touch screen device 6 and a keyboard 7.
